Other highlights of his 39 years with GM include serving as Chevrolet’s Chief Engineer where he led product development efforts for domestically produced as well as imported product for GM’s largest division; General Manager of the Fleet and Commercial Division where approximately 25% of GM’s new vehicle sales were his responsibility.
Following retirement at GM, Mr Hansen supported a specialty vehicle engineering and manufacturing firm for four years but is now developing a special projects / consulting business serving the automotive and general manufacturing sectors. |



Mr. Hansen is a 43 year veteran of the automobile industry spending his early years with General Motors’ product engineering departments before gaining experience in manufacturing, quality, marketing and sales. He was fortunate to play key roles in the development of industry innovations such at catalytic converters and closed-loop emission control systems. In addition to earning a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Oakland University in Rochester, MI he also completed Harvard Business School’s International Senior Management Program.
